About Me

 Hi there! I’m Sandy Roberts - wife, mother, grandmother, and travel enthusiast. I have dreamed of traveling the world since I was a little girl. It all began as a child, when my dad would give us an hour to pack and then tell us to “hop in the car.” When asked where we were going, he would simply say, “we’re going to follow the hood.” 

Following the hood of the car led to many adventures, and over the years I have logged thousands of road trip miles. I still love a good, spontaneous road trip, but now I also love to catch a plane, hop on a train, or board a ship and see where it takes me. I love the sights and smells of a new city. I love to experience the people, culture, and food of a newly visited country. I love everything from escorted tours to letting Google Maps be my guide. From iconic tourist locations to roads less traveled, I relish in the history and am enlightened by the world perspective I have gained. 

These adventures are my travel dreams come true.

As previously stated, I love travel of all kinds. My husband/travel buddy and I have had many travel adventures together. We have journeyed to Europe and walked the streets of Paris, London, Barcelona, and Rome. We have cruised the Mediterranean and visited the fabulous sites and cities of France, Spain, and Italy. We have cruised to Alaska and ventured inland on the Alaska Railroad. In Ireland, we rented a car and spent 2 weeks exploring the Emerald Isle. We have cruised the Caribbean several times and our trips to the Mexican Riviera are always a family favorite.

We have road-tripped through the western United States more times than I can count. I just have to stop at every National or State Park that we come across, as well as every roadside stand, festival, or attraction. I love our unplanned and spur-of-the-moment adventures. Some of our best travel memories have been unintentional. We especially enjoy roaming, camping, and exploring the great state of Utah where we live. Utah is home to many State Parks and world-famous attractions, 

as well as 5 National Parks! 

One thing I have learned in my travels is this: you don’t have to travel far to have an adventure. Adventure awaits just out your front door. So, grab some family and friends, walk out the door, and begin a new adventure today.
